20 months

He turned 20 months old last Tuesday. I took him in for his 18 month well-child check-up last week. He was a month late for the 15 month check-up, had it at 16 months, so this one was a month late as well, at 19 months.

His measurements were:
28 lbs 12.5 oz (75%)
34.5 inches tall (92%)

Doc said he looked happy and healthy and passed his developmental test with flying colors! He handled his shots well again, minimal crying, just wanted me to continually kiss his owies. He even told the doctor and nurse thank you!

What he's been up to:
-has become extremely lovey: kisses all day long, and hugs while rubbing my back
-says two or more words together: "Thank you, Mama" and understands possesive phrases like "Dylan blankie" or "Mama purse" and he repeats every thing we say so we have to be REALLY careful not to say bad words. I called the cat a dummy the other day and he ran around follwing the cat calling it "dummy" the rest of the day.
-getting good at counting, though he gets to 3 then skips to 8...
-very good at remembering names and animals and objects in books
-likes his baths every day and remembers his routine: bath, diaper, jammies, brush teeth
-very independant and it's been great knowing he can handle the stairs by himself so I can go upstairs to shower in the morning and leave him downstairs watching his DVD player and he'll just come up if he needs something
-wants to eat everything on his own with his own utensils
He loves his couch and when it's naptime, he lays down with his "banky" and says nigh-nigh and goes to sleep
