Memorial Day Weekend

As we have done the past couple of years, we packed up and headed to Eastern Wa to the Methow Valley to enjoy the long weekend.  We left around 3:30pm Thursday afternoon and with a stop in Wenatchee for dinner, made it to our destination at "camp" a little after 7:30pm.  We set up our tent trailer and the weekend was quickly in full swing.

Dylan spent every waking minute running around and playing with all the other kids.  He was actually quite a handful because it was so relaxed and he seemed to think all rules went out the door.  So he was being anti-Mommy and didn't want to listen to me tell him he needed to eat dinner, go potty, etc.  He was obviously wearing himself out but just wouldn't stop to take a break, a nap or wind down to go to bed at night.  He had a great time, but it was stressful for me since he was being so uncooperative.  He even told me he didn't love me, only Daddy.  I took it with a grain of salt as I wasn't too fond of how he was acting either...As soon as we were home though, he was back to normal, cooperative, lovey Dylan!....And he loved me again.

We came home late Sunday night so we could have Monday to unpack and relax.  We had fairly good weather, it did rain the night we arrived but the later half of Friday was decent and all of Saturday and Sunday were warm and sunny.

  1. Looks like a great time! And I'm sure he still loved you, even when he wasn't being very lovable himself ;)
