Beach

With the hot weather as of late, I mentioned to Dylan about going to the beach.  He was definitely interested so last Thursday, we headed to the small beach at Silver Lake.  We'd gone there once before, last year and he enjoyed the play toys a lot more than the beach but since it was so hot out, I figured he'd enjoy a cool dip in the lake.  Everyone seemed to have the same idea!  The beach was absolutely packed!  You couldn't find a spot on the sand without being a foot or two from another towel.  And this was around 1pm on a weekday!  And since the swimming are is pretty small, it was the same in the water, there was barely room to stand.  Dylan has a problem with sand and doesn't like it in his shoes or aqua socks, so we didn't spend too much time on the actual beach.  He played on the toys a bit but they were hot too.  So it was a short visit, but at least we got to wade in the cool water for a bit and he got to enjoy a Sponge Bob ice cream treat.
