Leavenworth & Reptile Zoo
The day after Halloween, we packed up and headed to Leavenworth. We were on the road around 8:30 and arrived at the hotel close to 11. We were in luck that they had a room ready so we could unpack and then head to lunch since we were all starving! After lunch, we parked and walked around the town. It was pretty chilly even though it was such a clear, sunny day. So the boys got cold, as did I. We found a little park to play at for a short bit before we headed back to the room. My plan for Luke to nap in the stroller as we walked about failed miserably and he was a cranky pants. All attempts to get him to nap back at the room were a failure as well so we went swimming instead. I even tried walking him up and down the street to try to get him to sleep in the stroller but he wouldn't have it. He finally conked out as we snuggled on the bed while Joe and Dylan walked down the street to pick up pizza for dinner. Little did I know, he was starting to get sick, no wonder he was cranky.
The next day we were up extra early, mostly due to the time change. It was a good thing though since we could stay there a bit before driving back home and still had time to stop at the Reptile Zoo and then make it home in time to watch the Seahawks game.
It was a fun, short little trip to celebrate Joe's birthday.
