Pumpkin Patch

We waited a teensy bit too long to hit up the pumpkin patch this year. But with the weather so crappy, and with Dylan's soccer practices in the evenings and weekends, we had a hard time finding a good day to go that also had decent weather. We ended up going on a Sunday after one of Dylan's soccer game and not only was the farm super crowded (something we like to avoid), but there was diddly squat for pumpkins to choose from- as you can see by the photos. One of the pumpkins we got was even moldy and squishy by the time we carved them the following week.

Lesson learned.

When kids (and adults) get cranky, food is always the answer

The trick to getting them to smile for a good photo is to also let them make
silly or mad faces for another one
