Easter!

The best part of Easter this year was the trick Joe played on the kids. He told the boys about 2 weeks out that the Easter Bunny was on a health kick this year due to all the candy and sugar all the kids in the world were eating and this year would be putting vegetables in their eggs instead of candy. Luke took it pretty well (shocking since he's a sugar addict) and was so excited to find lots of veggie-filled eggs. Dylan was pissed and insisted he would boycott egg finding. He wrote a letter to Mr. Bunny asking if they could at least have a little bit of candy with the veggies.

E. Bunny actually came through and only gave them each one egg filled with carrots. All day, Dylan kept saying, "I only said a little big of candy and the Easter Bunny gave us almost ALL candy!"

Following the egg hunt at home and a breakfast of bunny-shaped pancakes and bacon, we chilled out until the afternoon when we headed to my parent's house for dinner. The boys got to do another egg hunt and right after, us adults had our own hunt, but for beer!

My parent's had hid 45 cans and bottles of beer in the yard and we had fun searching for them. Who says holidays aren't fun any more when you get older?

He helped me go through all the eggs from last year...

And found a year-old Peep in one
