Evergreen State Fair

We've been to the fair with Dylan every year of his life, but this was the first time he really got to make some decisions as to what he wanted to see and do.  We started out in the kiddie rides.  He's never done them before and had a great time.  Some of the rides he wasn't tall enough to ride alone so Joe or I had to go with him.

Started on the carousel

He kept saying, "Mom, this is really, really fun!"

Motorcycles, he went on this one twice

So serious

Cars, of course

Airplanes

Joe got to do the crazy spinning bear ride
After seeing the dog/bunny/chicken building and getting him some cotton candy, we headed off in search of the famous ponies. On the way, we spotted the face painting booth and Dylan chose a Batman logo to adorn his face, sparkles and all.  We found the pony ride and got away without a tantrum this year.  Phew.

Look, Ma, no hands!

So serious.  I couldn't get him to smile for me

We found some overly expensive games to play and win some cheap stuffed toys, I think Joe was more into it than Dylan was.  But we did play ski-ball as a family (Joe's favorite) and won a cool little Husky pillow.

Getting a little tired
We ate some food, checked out the rest of the animals and then headed home!  Everyone had a good time and Joe and Dylan also found a remote control helicopter and race car to purchase that will provide many more hours of entertainment.
